Our services are tested by our customers who we listen to carefully and whose feedback we continuously utilise when developing our operation. Our quality is tested by VTT, who in 2005 awarded Maanhonka with the European technical approval no. ETA-05/0190. This ETA-certificate has been awarded only to a few log house manufacturers in Europe.

Here in Finland as well as elsewhere in Northern Europe the tradition of living in log houses date back hundreds of years. The oldest preserved log buildings date back to the end of the 1500's and the oldest still in use are from the 1700's. In Finland there are numerous log houses in good condition which have timber frames constructed in the 1600's and 1700's. These timber frames have survived so well that they have even stood up to being moved to new locations.
